England, Kent, Port Lympne: Howletts wild animal park

Loads to see. Howletts is renowned for its ability to breed rare species and its pioneering conservation work. We didn’t visit the reserve, just the animal park and house grounds, but still managed to fill the day easily.

Kids being kids chose the gem pit as one of their favourite parts of the day:

This is a paid attraction with on site parking (51°16’14.4″N 1°09’22.2″E). You can also visit by train, the park is about a half-hour walk from Bekesbourne station (shown on map).
