Spring Wiggle
Spring Wiggle is yet another beautiful forest gathering. These nights warm my soul, bring a smile to my face, and (literally) music to my ears. A big thank you to Boogie Woogie for facilitating another night of togetherness.

That time finally arrived, the first MOT for Neo! We went for a pre-MOT check with Mass Motors, as they were so helpful with a previous issue, and they gave us a list of things to resolve before taking Neo for the MOT - all relatively minor and usual MOT stuff. However, replacing one of the parts requires the removal of a lot of surrounding parts…
What can we say; if the apocalypse is as full of community as this event, we can't wait for it to arrive! Apocalypticus started with the idea of a road run, to include rat/survival/radically militarized vehicles (anything that wouldn't look out of place in Mad Max), from these roots it has developed into a gathering of like-minded individuals; creatives of all types, builders, repairers, and (going…
We found out the hard way that Neo is not LEZ compliant. Before we talk about the solution we want to share some snippets of the phone conversion with Mr LEZ fine person:
So much love to everyone who made this the best party I’ve had in forever; too many to mention, the organisers, performers, unobtrusive security, every person I talked to and danced with, and of course the special ones who became new friends. On top of all the people, the location was stunning, decor was beautiful, and the weather unbelievably cooperative. Wow! As usual for these sorts…
Today we visited a friend who lives on a canal boat. The similarities between boat and van living are obvious, but the differences seem to fall in favour of boat life; imagine having your fuel delivered to your van, being able to park up for 2 weeks at a time in any pretty spot you find, or only having a car pass you a couple times…
It's a very exciting day, one I've waited long enough for, finally I have a new vehicle! It's a beautiful matt black with a complete blank canvas inside. I may eventually add some interior furnishings, but for now, we will keep it as is to allow for versatility. While Freyja was a lovely luxury experience, the thought of going back to the days of camping in…
You don't have to clean every bone you find. If it has been out in the open, doesn't have any soft tissue on it, and doesn't smell, then it is pretty much clean - I still do a quick soak to disinfect, but it is rare to get diseases from any bones like this. If the bone does smell, or has any flesh attached, then it needs…
I have to admit that I wasn't expecting much from this, but I was pleasantly surprised. Lots going on, and yet the grounds are big enough to avoid crowds if you want to. Highly recommend avoiding driving for this! Even if you're taking a bus, leave plenty of extra time as the area gets rammed with traffic on the day.
Sometimes all you need is a dance in a forest with the fire folk. The Psychedelic Way forest parties are local to where we live, so we pop down there when we can. Tonight did not disappoint, well done guys!
Today's shout out goes to The Orchard Project: a charity dedicated to the creation and restoration of community orchards. Their aim is to 're-fruit' the country, putting power and knowledge back in the hands of the local community and creating a 'better, locally-led food system'. The project started out in London, aiming to re-connect urban communities with their local and little-known orchards. Many urban orchards are now…
Today, with very mixed emotions, we said goodbye to Freyja. She has been such a trooper for us and watching her sit unused for the last while has saddened us greatly. We are happy she has found a new home and hope that she provides her new family with as many happy memories as she did for us. We are now on the look-out for our…
