Due to lack of time to research, my animal encounters brought up some very mixed feelings.
While by the Khwae bridge, I got to play with some leopard kittens while my friend took care of some business with their carer. While holding a baby leopard is a wonderful feeling, I couldn’t help but feel worried about them stuck in a pen throughout the heat of the day.
Next we went for an elephant ride at Somnuk Elephant Camp. While the elephants and their kwan-chang seemed to have a nice connection and I didn’t get as oppressive a feeling as I thought I would, I couldn’t help but wonder about negative possibilities. The scenery was pretty though.
The last place we went was Tiger Temple, this one put the nail in the coffin for me, I felt so sad there that I simply couldn’t go to another animal place again.
