If you ever need to go to Pattaya, then the fireworks festival is the time to do it. We had to pass through here so my travelling companion could take care of some business, and boy was I glad the firework festival was on. I couldn’t imagine visiting this place for its own merits. Although to be fair, we did stay in the red-light district as we couldn’t find anywhere cheap enough outside of it, so perhaps other parts of the city have a very different feel. Anyway, as it was, we were treated to a beautiful fireworks display from the beach, in a street festival environment… and had a fun couple of days.
