I’ve been here twice now, both times in the evening, once in autumn when the tide was out, once in winter when it was in. This really is a place of stunning views, walking around the steps and walkways over the sea, the sun setting and the wind blowing, you can’t help but feel a little small.
If you visit while the tide is out you can access multiple caves, including Merlin’s cave.
To visit, park in the castle car park (50°39’52.0″N 4°45’15.1″W) or one of the other car parks around town, and walk.
