The weather was abysmal during our visit, meaning we didn’t enjoy the outside areas as much as we otherwise could have. But it was still an enjoyable day.
The Dinosaur Park and Iron age village
The whole park is littered with dinosaur models, which was fun for the little one. The ‘iron age village’ was frankly disappointing, especially with the large tv screen smack bang in the middle.

But it’s really all about the caves, isn’t it?
Dan Y Ogof
Cathedral Cave
Bone Cave
Besides the 2 main caves, there is the additional ‘bone cave’ which is another tiny reproduced scene; honestly just as disappointing as the iron age village, if there’s queue, don’t bother.

Shire horse centre and farm
Also on site is a stone circle and shire horse centre. The stone circles looked nice but we didn’t manage to go walking there due to the weather and time restraints. The shire horse centre was a nice ending to the day, despite the rain

To get here: Park in the on-site parking (51°49’57.3″N 3°40’56.6″W), take the provided ‘train’ bus or walk to the entrance of the show-caves. The shire centre on your right as you come in before parking is also included in your ticket price.
