The stream flowing through Gordale scar (Gordale Beck) travels through the gorge, then flows over Janet’s Foss before joining Malham Beck a couple of miles downstream to form the River Aire. Janets Foss is a stunning little waterfall flowing into a pool and then on down a small river through the forest, creating a lovely walking route to follow, where you can find coin-studded trees, steep banks to climb, or just amble on the path.

Also nearby are Malham Cove and Limestone Pavements.

There is a National Trust car park in Malham (54°03’36.7″N 2°09’17.1″W). Though if you arrive early there is also street parking both in Malham and near Gordale Scar.
